At desk chair workspace, every member adds something special to our community-and Sara McNamara is no exception. From her unexpected path into tech to finding the perfect coworking environment, Sara’s story is a testament to the power of connection, and finding the right space to thrive.
From Hospitality to Tech
Sara originally studied tourism management and hospitality at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. After working in the hospitality industry, she realized that the unpredictable hours weren’t a good fit for her lifestyle. She pivoted to an office role, landing a position as a sales representative at a tech startup. Her strong performance there caught the eye of Ticketsauce, where she was headhunted and now leads business development.
Sara thrives in her role because it blends sales, client services, and account management, allowing her to wear multiple hats and stay challenged.
About Ticketsauce
Ticketsauce is a white-label ticketing platform that works with event creators and brand partners to provide an all-in-one ticketing solution. Fun fact about the name: the founders brainstormed it while eating wings at BWW and decided to add a little “sauce” to stand out from the sea of ticketing companies.
Why Coworking Works
As Ticketsauce’s only remote employee in Colorado, Sara needed a space where she could focus without the distractions of home. She found desk chair workspace after moving from a Denver coworking space and fell in love with the vibe. Sara especially enjoys the “secret spots” throughout the building and the daily interactions with other members-she says the space is never boring and always engaging.
Life Outside the Office
When she’s not working, Sara enjoys hiking, golfing, cooking, and organizing. Her favorite local spot? Dark Heart Coffee Bar, for its atmosphere and great coffee.
If Sara could share a meal with anyone in the world, she’d choose her family-her mom, dad, and sister. Living far apart, she cherishes the thought of a nostalgic dinner together.
Making an Impact
Sara’s journey reflects adaptability, and curiosity. She’s a reminder that sometimes the best career paths are the ones you never expected-and the spaces and communities we choose along the way can make all the difference.
